This time last year we were starting to feel the effects of the coronavirus on everyday life. Little did we know the full impact it would have on every aspect of our lives and the football club in the next 12 months.

An unbelievable amount of help from supporters, sponsors, players and officials, alongside vital grant support from the government and football authorities saw us through a very difficult first few months of lockdown when every income stream was decimated but fixed costs continued to drain the club’s resources.

‘Early Bird’ Season Tickets were launched in the hope of aiding the clubs cashflow and to allow us to budget for the year ahead at a time when it was incredibly difficult to predict the full extent of the pandemic on the club.

Despite no guarantee that the 20/21 football season would even start, a record amount of you committed to a season ticket to help the club in its hour of need, and for this we are eternally grateful.

Right from the start we guaranteed that if the season did not go ahead at all, or was curtailed part the way through, the club would reimburse those tickets at the full or pro-rata rate based on games played.

A superb start to the campaign saw us all witness some the best football played at Felixstowe & Walton Utd for many years, by a squad bursting with talented players who, to a man, genuinely love and give their all to the club. They and the management team are a credit to the club and exciting times lay ahead if we can keep the group together.

Just 5 Isthmian League games were completed, including 3 at home... the last minute winner that gave a 3-2 success against AFC Sudbury amongst the highlights.

Alongside the league, a record run in the FA Trophy included wins over Great Wakering, Westfield and a thrilling victory over higher league Met Police in our final match played at the Goldstar Ground on the last day of October. Despite lockdown 2, we made the long midweek trip to Leatherhead and again upset the odds with a hard fought, battling 1-0 win. The next round at Basford, table toppers in the division above was a step too far, but the memorable cup run will live long in our club’s history.

 

We are now offering a range of options for Season Ticket holders and we would urge you to put your own circumstances before the clubs in making your decision. Season Ticket holders are being contacted directly, or you can contact Chris Daynes with your chosen option.

 

ROLL TICKET OVER TO 21/22 SEASON. We will carry your season ticket over to the new campaign. A new colour card will be issued.

DONATE. Several season ticket holders have indicated they would like to donate the credit value of their season ticket back to the football club, and then purchase a new one for next season when they go on sale (At the discounted renewal rate).

You can choose to donate the credits to the club (or a percentage) where it will be used to assist with operating costs across the football club.
