Building work will restrict access to a section of the ground for the next few days and a reminder about balls in the ground on match days.

Work has been taking place this week to install new dugouts at the Goldstar Ground. Concrete bases have been laid and pitchside barriers adjusted in readiness for the new structures to be installed next week. This work has resulted in a section of the ground being unavailable for the next few days due to health & safety requirements. The Landsdowne Road perimeter from the home dugout stretching to the corner of Landsdowne/Dellwood Avenue will be cordoned off for the following matches-

Thursday 5th December- Under 18's v Needham Market

Saturday 7th December- First Team v Romford

Sunday 8th December- Ipswich Town Women v Cambridge United.

We recognise this area is a popular location for many spectators and we apologise for any inconvenience and thankyou for your understanding whilst the necessary ground improvements continue.

Balls in the ground- Junior Seasiders kick-about area to be created on matchdays.

The ground regulations at Felixstowe & Walton United prohibit spectators from bringing footballs into the enclosed ground on matchdays. This was brought in due to several instances of matches being paused due to spectators footballs entering the field of play, as well as complaints from fellow spectators after being hit, and drinks being knocked over by footballs being used, particularly in the busy area in front of the clubhouse.

The club is however, keen to attract families to matches and we recognise children will sometimes wish to occupy themselves with a ball. Therefore, the club is trialling a 'Junior Seasiders kick-about area' starting from this Saturdays First Team fixture against Romford.

Goalposts and club footballs will be provided inside the fenced off area at the Dellwood Avenue end and be available to use upto kick off and again at half time. Spectators own footballs will still not be allowed to be brought into the ground, only those balls provided in the kick-about area should be used. The area will not be available whilst the match itself is underway. The club will monitor the trial over the next few matches and provide the area permanently for use if the rules are adhered to.

We hope by creating a dedicated kick-about area, in view of parents, we can enhance the enjoyment of our young visitors whilst keeping the ground safe for those wishing to watch the main action on the pitch"
